Pokémon Black and White Revealed
Fresh off the latest releases of HeartGold and SoulSilver (DS updates of past Game Boy versions of Pokémon), it seems that The Pokémon Company has revealed the newest edition of the popular franchise, Pokémon Black and White, which is scheduled for a Fall 2010 release in Japan.
While some fans seem taken aback by this almost random revealing and are wondering if it holds weight, it seems that this latest version of Pokémon does indeed exhibit many hints that make this revealing a legitimate announcement. For starters, the official Pokémon site has a mock-up logo of the game that has been seen on other popular Japanese sites as well. One of these sites also has a picture of one of the newest revealed Pokémon at the top, one that was designed and revealed by series designer Junichi Masuda himself.
With news already spreading about the newest Pokémon title, one site claims to already have leaked screens of the latest game, which resembles a top-down style the previous games exhibited but with brand new 3D environments and characters. With each new title taking full use of the newest technology it seems this might be the next logical step in the right direction for the decade old series, but until official confirmation arrives take these pictures with a grain of salt.
While none of us here can read Japanese, it seems that each site is eagerly anticipating the release of Black and White (as seen by the numerous exclamation points!!!) and that Japanese gamers will get their hands on the game at the end of the year. US and European gamers might have to wait a little longer, possibly until 2011 to try it out, but surely any news of a brand new Pokémon title is sure to give some fans a reason to keep an eye on any new information.
