One more day of Final Fantasy XIII hype!
We are just hours away from the release of what is probably the biggest RPG this year. RPG enthusiasts are expecting Final Fantasy XIII to revolutionize the genre for this era. But while reviews, including our very own, are still coming in, the fact remains that hype for this title is high.
The hype is so high that Square Enix Public Relations officials have been doing as much as they can to feed off this attention… literally.
You may have seen it from other reporting blogs, but this past Christmas, we received quite a large package from Square Enix. While it wasn’t a demo (it was actually a CD with HD trailers and screenshots), it was still quite refreshing. We actually received thirteen sugar cookies with the “XIII” logo designed on them along with a festive-themed postcard.
A few weeks ago, the publisher’s PR company event sent us some cel art, but the best part of the package was an invitation to the cocktail-themed Launch Party happening in the Regency Center at San Francisco that’s actually happening tonight.
Casual gamers may be thinking, “A cocktail party for a video game?” Yes folks, a cocktail party for a video game. This will actually be my first cocktail party, especially since I just turned 21.
That being said, we encourage you to stay tuned to Gamer 2.0’s SmashPad TwitterPage for up-to-the-second coverage as well as pictures from this huge event. And don’t worry, they won’t be just pictures of a drunken me quoting Kefka.
