Capcom Unity ran their playtest event for Super Street Fighter IV last night.
Players got to try out some of the new cast, as well as seeing what tweaks have been made to existing characters. The build being played yesterday was the one with the 4 blank character slots, so anyone worried about the recent post-famitsu stream pic with those 4 blank slots removed can now calm down.
Some of the new ultras were tested out by the community and uploaded to ..read more

Well, according to IGN the release date for Super Street Fighter IV will be March 31st 2010.
This has since been reflected on Amazon and Newegg, although no one really knows if they’re just taking IGN’s word for it.
The game is being listed at $39.99 for both PS3 and XBox 360 on Amazon.com. On Amazon.co.uk the pricing is coming in at £24.99 for PS3 and £29.99 for 360.
Hopefully that is remedied, seems a bit crap to be paying a fiver more ..read more
So, for the benefit of anyone who doesn’t know me that well; the Smashing Pumpkins were the band who opened my eyes to music.
I still rank their 1995 double album, Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness as my favourite album of all time, despite the fact that I have not listened to it for some time.
I feel that the album perfectly manages to convey a number of emotions while traversing an immense sonic landscape.
Anyway, now it’s years later. Following Jimmy ..read more
Aww hells yeah! Following the recent news that Guy, Cody and Adon will feature in Super Street Fighter IV, this new video released by IGN lets us see them in action.
You’ll get to see not only those three, but some more of T.Hawk, Deejay and Juri. And hear a bit of their english voicework.
Not only do you get to see them pulling a couple of their signature moves, but you also get to see an ultra from each character!
I’m still ..read more
That’s right - two characters from Final Fight and the Alpha series, and Adon who’s technically from the first Street Fighter game have now been confirmed for Street Fighter IV!
Check out the screens here from Japanese magazine Famitsu - Cody and Adon - Guy.
A few sharp eyes around the net have also spotted a kunai dagger in the top right of the page featuring Guy. Apparently, one of the comments on the page in japanese states something along the lines ..read more
Did you feel like the world was a little different when u woke up on October 16th? Like someone had finally made a stand against the suckas of the world and made a difference?
Someone did, and that someone was Black Dynamite.
DYNAMITE! DYNAMITE!
Ahem, sorry. Black Dynamite is a 2009 Scott Sanders movie spoofing the 70s blaxploitation films, and in particular films like Black Belt Jones.
It’s also the only film that I can ever recall instantly needing to see after just seeing ..read more
Got hooked up with a copy of Borderlands yesterday for the PC. Thought I’d take a few minutes to write up a little on my first impressions of it, because everyone seems to have been getting real hype over it.
For anyone who isn’t aware, the whole concept of Borderlands is that it’s a First Person Shooter (optionally multiplayer) with RPG-style drops and levelling system. So you’re running around the wastes, shooting up enemies who are dropping guns, grenades and weapon ..read more
And there’s more!
Following the Super Street Fighter IV announcement yesterday, I can share a little more info and 3 more videos.
Firstly we have another interview with Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono. Then a little showcase of T-Hawk and new fighter Juri. Finally, another teaser trailer where we finally get to see Deejay in action!
Some facts that Ono confirms in his interview;
Capcom have been listening to the fans regarding lobbies. They are aiming to put in lobbies where you can ..read more

According to the Radiohead website, it looks like Thom Yorke is putting out a 12″
He had the following to say;
FeelingPulledApartbyHorses / TheHollowEarth 12inch
Dear Sir or Madam
This is to inform you of the release of two more bits of work shortly. They are loosely under the Thom Yorke name this time, although these days its all getting kind of blurry. FeelingPulledApartbyHorses is written & played by Jonny and I and is a radical rework of an old tune thats been kicking around without ..read more
My grubby little paws hoovered up a copy of the new Batman game from the shelves at Gamestation on Friday, which was the UK release date.
I completed it on Saturday, but I’ve put together an HD Youtube video review of it, for your viewing pleasure.
Check it out, remember to watch in HD!
Now that I’ve had a bit of practice, the editing, video and audio quality are vastly improved from the Shadow Complex 10 minute preview.
Have you played Arkham Asylum? Got ..read more
Shadow Complex was released today on Xbox Live Arcade.
After doing some research online I’ve bought a Dazzle capture card, so that I can digitally record and edit my gameplay of xbox games. I’ve created a video here, for you to see some of the first 10 minutes of Shadow Complex.
I’ve also outlined my ideas for possible future videos. Please subscribe on Youtube. I intend to make many more videos, and the quality of the recording and editing will only improve ..read more
We’ve all played Super Mario Brothers. It’s the quintessential platformer. You know the score, jump on their heads to kill em and make your way to the castle at the end.
In that respect, Braid isn’t that far off SMB. But as it turns out, Braid has a few magical tricks up its sleeve. Just like Mario, it’s not your average platformer.
It’s a side scrolling affair where you play a little chap called Tim. Your quest is to find the princess ..read more
Anybody who knows me knows why I have taken so long to get the new paulietheboss site finished.
They know why I’m up late at night making clacking sounds while I abuse my stick (ooh err) and they know why I spend hours looking at strategy information and discussion on shoryuken … all because of a game.
It’s because on February 20th (has it been that long?!) Street Fighter IV made me its bitch.
I’ve been a big gamer for as long as ..read more
I managed to grab a copy of Prototype for the Xbox 360 the other day. Got it for £25 including delivery - not too shabby for a relatively new game that’s going for £40 everywhere in the shops!
Anyway, thought I’d take a little time to outline some information on Prototype, and the good/bad.
Before I get into that I’ll share a little story. A friend of mine from a messageboard (shout out to Chris “cheap throw” Bakewell) told me about an ..read more
Ok lets face it, right off the bat it’s pretty obvious that Crank: High Voltage isn’t exactly what you’d call high brow film-making. But the thing is that it doesn’t have to be.
It watches like a comic book reads, and for certain situations that is a good thing. Now for those of you unaware of the franchise, the previous film Crank (2006) was one film that actually fits the bill of “an absolute balls-to-the-wall romp.”
I have to be ..read more
